Jason Eppink tried to make a Kickstarter campaign just to raise money that he could turn around and give to his friends’ Kickstarter campaigns (creative projects funded by pledges from internet users). The site politely declined, so he built his own site, Kickbackstarter, and made an impeccable imitation of a Kickstarter project page.
Unlike a Kickstarter campaign, Eppink will take your money even if he doesn’t hit his $5000 goal. So far he’s raised $202, including a single dollar from us.
Ten bucks gets you a phone call with Jason! So maybe this is how you two begin a whirlwind romance.
Twenty bucks means you help him decide where to pledge his money, so maybe you can use your phone call to get him to spend it all on your dance cycle about searching for the “maximize” button on a Mac.
