In “Uncastable”, comedians Mikala Bierma and Mike Lacher harass actors auditioning for bit parts and commercials. While the series is made by a group of friends, you can come into these cold and instantly empathize with the actors.
Mikala says the show was inspired by an audition where the director told her, “Try it again, not acting like a lunatic.”
“It’s all improvised,” she says. “We all work together to think of the most terrible things a casting director could say to that person. We shoot for about 10 min and then Mike and I edit them into lil nuggets of the best stuff!”
