An exclusive excerpt from the Spin Doctors Biopic Starring Daniel Stern

Daniel Nadolny wants to shoot a biopic about the Spin Doctors. And he wants that film to star City Slickers II: The Legend of Curly’s Gold‘s Daniel Stern as lead singer Chris Barron. So he’s started a Kickstarter project, Daniel Stern Plays the Spin Doctors Guy.

With ten days to go, the project has raised $2,150 of its $5 million goal. So to help it with that final push, Nadolny is sharing the script for a pivotal scene. This is the first peek at Spin It to Win It, the Spin Doctors Story.

8 directors remake Star Wars

So Zack Snyder was, and then wasn’t, making a Seven Samurai ripoff within the Star Wars universe for Disney. He’s got a very distinctive style, so everyone had the potential movie appear fully formed in their mind’s eye as soon as they heard the news.

And since Disney’s planning to do a bunch of Star Wars universe movies beyond the new trilogy, we’ve got a lot more auteur Jedi epics to imagine. So here’s what will come to mind if any critically acclaimed directors get a rumored chance to build on George Lucas’s legacy.
